How we check bag sizes
Airline limits
We read every limit on the airline's own baggage page and link to it from the airline's page here, with the date we checked. When an airline's site blocks automated browsers, we use the text of that same official page as shown in search results, and we say so in a yellow note on the page. We never copy limits from other blogs, and when an airline doesn't publish a number, we say so instead of guessing.
How the checker decides
We sort your bag's three sides and the airline's three limits from largest to smallest and compare them side by side, in the unit the airline publishes (so a bag of exactly 55 cm passes a 55 cm limit). Any published total (length + width + height) and weight limit must also hold.
Bags
Bag sizes come from the maker's own product page, using the outside size with wheels and handles where the maker gives it. We note when a maker's pages disagree. We haven't measured the bags ourselves.
Updates
Airlines change their rules. We re-check limits regularly and update the date on each page. Spot something out of date? Email [email protected].
